I have been at Digha for a family trip for 2 nights (13-15) Aug'22. I stayed at Room 201 (Quadruple Room). Room is really spacious but lacking in maintenance. By locales it's very convenient, calm and just beside SeaGull Hotel. It's located at Barrister colony. Beach is just a 3 mins walking distance. Even market is at a walking distance. Overall hotel is lacking in infrastructural maintenance. Staffs are very lazy but co-operative. Request Management to focus on the infrastructural maintenance part.

Worst Hotel Experience ever

On the night of 5th August we had the worst hotel experience ever in our life at Hotel Sea Coast ,Digha .We made a prior room booking and made advance payment too as per Hotel norms .To our utter dismay we got a room with floor full of water seapage , AC not working and fan hardly functioning. After traveling by car for over 4 hours we couldn't change on freshen up ourselves.The service boy came and made some eye wash arrangement of making the AC working and told that is the maximum speed at which a fan can function. He mopped the floor and told a fancy story of floor being wet due to long hours of AC working to keep the room cool for our comfort. As no improvement was observed and our request of change of room was not attended , we simply decided to walk out by paying out the balance payment of the day through we spent only few hours in the hotel.Out of utter frustration ,anger and disappointment as we decided walk out of the hotel after paying 1 day rental we found ourselves locked up inside the main gate.The reception guy who had been silent although the ordeal and never bothered to consider our request of changing the room, turned up like a goon and asked to clear our 2 days rent and offered us a substitute room which was never offered earlier.Reception guy ' behavior was rude and impolite and threatened us to pay out 2 days rent and there after they would open up the lock The Manager over phone didn't help either.My husband's heated argument with the hotel staff made me feel very insecured. The ugly situation, made me to convince my husband to pay out the illegitimate dues and get out of the Hell...Though it got pretty late , still God was with us to help us get a hotel adjacent to us to Hotel Sea Coast who accommodated us though the official guest entry hours was long over....The unpleasant unpleasant experience made me feel this is not the Digha we had came numerous time before and and gave a classic example of how rude , impolite and non professional a Hotel can be where Customer satisfaction and business ethics was of least priority ....

Best part is the location, almost next to the beach. A small part of the sea was visible from our room. Service could have been better. Major issue is cleanliness of the room as well as washroom. Even we could spot small bugs on the bed. Otherwise, there was no disturbance, and stay was OK.

Hotel is good but the washrooms are not good at all .Food was good and the hotel is very near to the sea beach. But the workers are very greedy for tips.In total my stay was average. Rooms are claimed to be sea facing, but from all the rooms sea can not be watched very smoothly.

Someone else booked this hotel for us. We were four families and took five rooms. The food was excellent but the staffs were extremely unprofessional. They were nice and all but were not equipped to handle all sorts of travelers. The rooms were ok, but the bathroom was awful
